I’m John Fistere, controls systems engineer, retired from Solar Turbines Incorporated, and Executive Director, retired from the Prostate Cancer Research and Education Foundation.
These days I’m active in the Rotary Club of La Mesa, where I am the the “International Service Chair”, and for District 5340, “Stewardship Subcommittee Chair”, and in the San Diego Festival Chorus. I used to read the newspapers for the visually handicapped over KPBS’s Radio Reading Service. Check out the links. You may find them interesting.
I received an engineering degree from Yale, with a very interesting Junior year at the University of Beirut, Lebanon along the way.
My wife, Teresa and I live in the San Diego area, with our two dogs, Reba, an Australian Cattle Dog, and Rusty, an Australian Shepherd.
I have two daughters Jennifer, who lives in New York, and Jessica, who lives with her husband, Jamie, in Hillcrest. Both are doing very well.
We like to travel, sail, sing, read, go to the theater, among other activities.
