It’s almost midnight and Teresa and I are just about packed for tomorrow’s bus ride with our tour group to LAX and our flight to Paris. KPBS is our local public radio and TV station which organized the tour. We have a couple of days in Paris, seeing some sights, then we go on to Luxembourg via the 200 mph TGV train. (tres grande vitesse). There we board our ship for a cruise on the Mosel and Rhine rivers to Amsterdam, with many stops as we go along. Teresa and I are by no means wine connoisseurs, but we might pick up something along the way.
The map above shows the driving route rather than the TGV and a river cruise but you can get the general idea of where we are going. The cities are Paris, Luxembourg, Bernkastel, Cochem, Koblenz, Mainz, Heidelberg, Rodescheim, Cologne, and Amsterdam.
It just so happens that my daughter Jessica and son-in-law Jamie live in Amsterdam so we’ll get to spend a few days with them before we head home.
